Glory Land Bound

On The Cross

On The Cross

This is the day that Our Dear Jesus

Died On The Cross for the sins of the

Likes of you and me.

Yes, he died and was hung on the large

Dogwood tree.

At that time the Dogwood tree was large

Thick enough to make his Cross and

His crown was of thorns.

As he walked to die for you and me

The One's He was the closest to turned

Against him and he was hung bleeding

With his nail scared hands from the Cross

Make of the Dogwood tree.

Now, the Dogwood is a small and twisted tree

With small flowers that have a red running through

To remind us of the blood he died that day

On The Cross

He arose from the tomb within

 The day of Easter Morn

They removed the Stone and the Tomb

It was empty

This is the legend of the Dogwood

and the Cross

On The Cross

He died for you and me

that we might live and have everlasting life.

He paid the price for the sins for us to see

That no human could suffer like he

The son of God

The Savior Jesus Our Lord

On The Cross
