Country Moments

Country Moments

Country Moments so rare and true

sometimes I really feel so blue

When I see the Country Hat and dried sweet sented flowers

on the wicker chest and the fleeting country moments seem

so very real and true

County Moments to remember

In my heart so loving and tender

I will never forget growning up as a kid

all the little special things we did

We found things to do, and play with,

not to have our parents to buy and we must play with

We just had so much love for each other

and the Country Moments we shared

will always be in my mind and heart with special care

I am so grateful I grew up close to the Smokey Mountians,

and have the memories of the Country Moments,  and the prayers

my mom taught me to pray.

And the heritage of the Cherokee Indians just over the Mountains

that I use to live!

I could hear the Mountain cries as I lay awake at night

sometimes with fright, but finally, I did understand that

the spirits of mother earth was giving me Country Moments

Only the echos in the Mountain may understand!
